Style has always been one of my favorite things to spend my time diving into. I would always prefer to be overdressed vs. underdressed anywhere I go, my Pinterest boards contain thousands of inspo pics, and I still dress up for work everyday even though I work from home. I’ve always been a little hesitant to try out any of the style edit boxes because I figured I do a pretty good job of shopping for myself, but I gave Wantable a try, and this is why I’m already looking forward to my next edit.
My stylist is amazing! When you sign up for your edit, you take a little quiz that helps your stylist get to know both your body type and your style preferences. You can even include links to your Instagram or Pinterest pages if you think they will help your stylist really nail your edit.
I was surprised by how detailed the quiz was, but it definitely helped them get a feel for what I would like because my edits have been fantastic! You can even write little notes for your stylist if you think there is something they should know that wasn’t covered by the quiz. For example: I made it a point to let my stylist know that it is still sweltering here, so even though I am mentally ready for fall, I can’t do fall styles yet. Autumn colors, summer styles please!
I’ve received an edit two months in a row now, and I can say that out of the 14 items (they send 7 in each box), I have only returned 1 because it just wasn’t me. I have returned a couple more because I already had something too similar to justify keeping it, so obviously they seem to know what I like.
Which leads me to my next highlight- free shipping!
Yep, both ways. They don’t charge you to try on or return. Once you get you edit, you have 5 days to decide what you’ll keep and what is being sent back. Then just pack it up and ship it out. They make it ridiculously easy on you by including a pre-paid label for USPS and UPS, so you just pick whichever is more convenient. That’s it! No charge.
I’ve had a lot of people reach out to me on Instagram and ask about the actual cost of the box, so here is the nitty-gritty. The price per item is going to vary. Sorry I can’t be more specific on that, but part of your style quiz allows you to tell your stylist what sort of price range you want to stay in so they aren’t throwing a $200 dress at you when you are looking to be thrifty, so this part is really up to you.
There is no subscription required, so you can just order your edits as a “one-time” request, or you can sign up for a subscription if you like, but you can always cancel if you want to skip a month or decide it’s just not for you (honestly don’t know why that would be though!). There is, however, a $20 styling fee with each box, but this $20 is applied towards anything you keep, so you really aren’t losing anything there unless you decide to send back the whole lot.
As mentioned before, Wantable will send you 7 pieces in each edit. If you decide to keep 5 or more of these items, you will get 20% off your total, and if you sign up with my link, you can save an additional $25 off your first edit. Woo-hoo!
Overall, I have to recommend Wantable. Even as someone who still does plenty of shopping for myself, I love my little box of surprises every month! I’ve been able to discover some new brands that I am obsessed with, and try out some styles I wouldn’t have reached for myself. Give it a go and give your wardrobe a refresh!
